How to Help

According to the NNEDV annual survey, on just one day in Indiana in 2019, 1,349 adult and child victims of Domestic Violence found refuge in emergency shelters, transitional housing, or other housing provided by local domestic violence programs. In the same day, hotline staff in Indiana received 430 calls, which averages 20 calls per hour. These services are essential to keeping our community members safe, but they don’t come without a cost—it takes over $20,000 per month to run the shelter and its programs.
